Your Sparrow will not have a 40 to 60-mile (64.4 to 96.6-kilometer) range 
in the beginning. The 
battery pack
 on your new Sparrow needs to be broken in. 
The battery pack is broken in during the first 50 cycles. (A 
cycle
 is the 
complete battery discharge and subsequent charge to full capacity.) The battery 
pack increases its performance up to the 50th cycle. It reaches its maximum 
performance at that point, then begins to slowly deteriorate. The typical cycle 
life of a battery pack that is discharged below 30 percent is approximately 300 
cycles. When batteries are not discharged below 50 percent, battery life can 
reach up to 500 cycles.
